if I asked you to breathe for me,
it would only be warm discoloured image, masquerading
I shouldn’t have built that city beneath you,
nor let the blinding light beneath the door raise you above who you truly are.
But even the swirling of moons couldn’t change that.
I was the one who tried to give it an eternity it was never meant to have been.
